HOLY INFANT PAIDEIA

"For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding."
Proverbs 2:6
How Does the Hybrid Model of Education Work?
Homeschool Support
The Paideia's mission is to support families in having successful homeschools! In the hybrid model, most new content for the week's studies is presented by Paideia instructors. Instructors assign work for home study days, which are meant to further retention, maximize individual growth, and support students to become independent learners. To maintain the integrity of the classroom setting and ensure that students are confident and prepared to engage in classroom discussions and activities, it is required that families commit to using the same textbooks and completing basic assignments of their Paideia instructors. *Holy Infant Paideia is an educational support, non-profit organization, not a school. Parents must register their child as homeschooling and independently provide all mandatory documentation and forms as required by their county.

Parent & Teacher Collaboration
In the hybrid model, we maintain the Domestic Church as the anchor of our families while allowing children the benefits of an academic community. Parents are respected as the primary educators of their children and Paideia instructors are respected as sources of inspiration and accountability. Â Paideia instructors support and complement each unique home education environment by providing instruction in the classroom, give assignments and readings for home study days, as well as offering challenges and insights in the pursuit of wisdom. Parents are responsible for setting main objectives for their child (which allows a true focus on individual progress!), helping their children complete their Paideia assignments and any other work that they deem important for their child, as well as assigning final grades. Parents are encouraged to support their student toward mastery of concepts or to provide extra challenge for ambitious learners. Communication between parents and instructors is paramount to the success of this collaboration. Â Maintaining assignment books/journals, planning ahead for each term, and commitment to respecting our common goals are essential in our collaboration.

Is the Hybrid Model Right for Your Family?
The hybid model works best when... --The Paideia & the Families are a united community! Families commit to attend in-person classes, follow dress and behavior codes, participate in fundraising, and share the heart of the Paideia- our Christian Faith -Productive learning happens at home! Parents facilitate the understanding of assignments, encourage focus, organization, and time management skills -Parents provide personalization! Parents modify their students' learning as they see fit. This could include expanding on concepts to promote mastery, providing advanced learning challenges, implementing personal learning goals, and encouraging independent studies based on the child's interests -Good communication happens! Parents and instructors should share important updates, problem solve if challenges arise, and work to align classroom and family educational goals
