Literature
A Good Books Program
Socratic literary discussions & study of genre and literary elements one day on-site. Reading assignments for home work.
Science
Hands-on Science:
Hands-on, Critical thinking.
Aplogia Curriculum
Writing
Writeshop & IEW Programs:
Award-winning writing, incremental writing instruction. Varied genres, includes grammar and mechanics studies.
2 Days of on-site instruction and one day of writing assignments for at home
History/Geography
Medieval Ages
Primary Sources and quality history texts.
On-site 2 days a week, use of living history books and historical fiction, hands-on activities, timeline work, map work, & discussion, 2 days assignment home work.
Mathematics
Math Study Hall:
Parents choose and implement a Math program. Each on site day will include a 30 minute Math study hall where students will bring their parent-assigned work to complete with a tutor proctor.
Enrichments
Varied Extras:
Physical Ed; Screen Printing; Etiquette and Basic Culinary Skills; Shakespeare Studies, Drama, Art
These rotate throughout the year and usually by quarter.
